Shara Micucci (Khanal) (31) will represent Nepal at the Mrs South Asia finals at Rose Theatre, Brampton Ontario Canada on the 23rd of July and is one of 18 finalists. Shara has recently graduated from Burnhamthorpe Collegiate in Toronto, Canada with honours. She was recently accepted to a heralded computer programming course at Humber College. She is married and has a Seven-year-old son.
Shara said she has always enjoyed participating in fashion events and began when she was in high school and starred on several fashion TV shows in Nepal. “This pageant gives us the ability to continue to express our creativity even though we are married,” she said. Shara said that it has been a remarkable journey of self-discovery. “Being a finalist created a gateway of opportunities as I became more recognized in society as a woman with purpose and am able to add value to the lives of many. Many women experience difficulties and challenges and simply lending an ear and a helping hand can make a significant difference.
“I am humbled to have had the opportunity in the various arenas of community and charitable service. My preparation for the pageant was not a journey I made alone. My family and friends support my cause for making a difference in the community and it offered me a greater appreciation of self,” said Shara. She is involved in community work in Mississauga and works with a non-profit organizations with her husband. She has also started her own successful business Sharas Hair and Beauty Studio which she recently sold to make time for her family and studies. “My message to all is that our future is determined by how well we live in the present and the choices we make today. “It is important to make your dreams a reality and by making an investment in your health, education and family,” said Shara.
