FCNCC Marks 60 Years of Canada-Nepal Relations with Special Meet & Greet Event

The Federation of Canada Nepal Chamber of Commerce (FCNCC) celebrated the 60th Anniversary of Canada-Nepal Bilateral Relations with a special Meet & Greet event on January 19. The gathering brought together advisors, life members, and Youth Hub participants to honor the enduring friendship between the two nations.

The event featured His Excellency Ambassador of Nepal to Canada Bharat Raj Paudyal , who delivered a keynote speech, emphasizing the significance of the strong diplomatic ties between Canada and Nepal. The FCNCC also expressed gratitude to Dr. Tulsi Dharel and Nima McElhinney for their three years of advisory support and to the Nepal Embassy Ottawa for its continued collaboration.

A ceremonial cake-cutting was held to mark six decades of bilateral relations. The celebration included an exclusive dinner and a musical performance by Smriti Shahi , whose performance impressed attendees. The FCNCC extended its thanks to Tandoori Tikka Lounge for hosting the event at their exceptional venue.

Participants had the opportunity to introduce their businesses, exchange ideas, and contribute insights for shaping the FCNCC’s annual agenda. Board members Laxman Mandal, Surya Baral, Nabin Luintel and Purnima Daga also shared their perspectives to guide the organization’s future growth and initiatives.

A key highlight was the awarding of Life Membership Certificates to new members, presented by Ambassador Bharat Raj Paudyal and FCNCC Founder President Bijay Paudel, symbolizing the growing strength of the FCNCC community.

The evening’s program was seamlessly conducted by General Secretary Gokarna Lamichane, who served as the Master of Ceremony.
