    Madhab Dulal

Dear Community Members, friends and colleagues:

    Namaskar,

First of all, I would like to introduced myself. I am Madhab Dulal, one of the candidate for NRN, National Coordination Council (NCC) Election from Calgary that going to be held on July 23, 2017. I came to Toronto in 2008 seeking better options in life from Hetauda Nepal, having master’s degree in Sociology back home. Undergoing multiple ups and downs in life, I moved to Calgary in 2012 while pursuing more opportunities. Currently I am working at Walmart Canada western region in a Quality Assurance (QA) department. I am also a franchise owner of Desjardins Insurance where I provides various financial services to our community members.

In 2013, I have involved in Nepalese Community Society of Calgary (NCSC) as an executive member and promoted to event coordinator from April 2014 to May 2017. I am also a general Member of Calgary Nepalese Community Association ( CNCA) since 2015 and I am on the process of auto Life membership by donating to CNCA resource center.

During my community involvement, I was actively participated fund raising for NCSC Resource Center, which is undergoing, next I was actively participated for fund raising for all Nepalese living in Calgary facing hardship and difficulties; who lost their nearest and dearest one; who are seeking day to livelihood. In the mean time, I was actively engaged in fund raising at the crucial time where Nepal went through huge earthquake, flood and other natural calamities.I have played significant roles to serve Nepalese Communities and those who are in dire need both at grassroots and policy level.

Perceiving my significant contributions and sufficient time allocations for the communities welfare, lots of my friends and seniors advised me to carry out more specific roles and prior responsibilities to raise communities issues at the central level. Therefore, I have flashed my candidacy for NRN NCC representative from Calgary on June 13, 2017 through Canadakhaber.com for the tenure of 2017-2019.

    If I elect from Calgary area for NRN NCC 2017-2019 My Priorities would be;

    1) By laws restructure: We all know there are a lot of conflict around Toronto due to general laws, where individual or particular groups could affect communities agendas. My focus would be, to form by laws review committee and make a strong, transparent and acceptable decision making process (Sarbasuikaryata).

    2) Increase the numbers of NCC members from 17 to minimum of 24 at the backdrop of increasing Nepalese population in Canada.
    Break will be:
1 represent from 1 provinces (Minimum 30 members needed)
1 represent if 100+ members from one city
2 represent if 250+ members from one city

4 represent if 1000+ members from one city

    3) Publication of 10 years NRN work Calendar: All elected or nominated members from all provinces must conduct minimum program in their electoral region with the coordination of local organizations. Proposed minimum of two programs. Also, all dates of next 10 years will be published such as formation of election commissions, election date, AGM date (range)etc.

    4) Visible in local community: All elected or nominated represent must put NRN desk at major local communities program where representative will put the information of NRN progress report, latest NRN updates, membership receipt among other.

We will utilize “group me” or what’s up apps to communicate each other. EFTF will give free advice and free mentor-ships for new community members who wish to be an entrepreneurship.

    8) We will implement open door policy: which means all executives communication means (Cell phone, email etc) will be publish in NRN website.

    9) Follow the sun down rule: All concerns from community members will addresses on same day (Unless in vacation or major concerns which need meeting or AGM)

    10) Create Alberta group email and mobilize NRN Alberta: We will create NRN Alberta group email to circulate local concerns. We will set quarterly meeting for Alberta NRN team.

    11) Dynamic advisory group: We will make dynamic advisory group (not direct interfere) where each advisor will format his small group (up to 5 people) and he will advise in his expertise subject matter. Advisor group will be by laws advisor group, account advisory group, invest in Nepal advisory group, IT team etc.

    12) Coordinate with all levels of Canadian government and local community services such as centre for newcomers, CIWA, ILVARC etc, to maximize their resources to connect Nepali peoples in their bridging programs and skilled training.
