TORONTO, Canada — Remit123, a newly launched remittance company owned by members of the Nepali diaspora in Canada, has officially begun its operations with a focus on providing secure, efficient, and accessible remittance services.

Ambassador of Nepal to Canada, H.E. Bharat Paudyal, welcomed the launch and emphasized the important role of secure and formal remittance channels in strengthening the economic partnership between Canada and Nepal.

Ambassador Paudyal also encouraged greater collaboration among remittance companies, financial institutions, and other relevant stakeholders to make international money transfers more transparent, reliable, and cost-effective.

Earlier, on August 8, Ambassador Paudyal officially launched Remit123 by downloading the company’s mobile app during the 18th Himalayan Mela in Toronto.

The launch ceremony was attended by Nepali entrepreneurs, business leaders, community members, and members of the Nepali diaspora in Canada.

Speaking at the event, Remit123 member Sharad Paudel said the company’s initial focus is to serve the Nepali community in Canada. “In the beginning, we are focused on serving our community. Later, we plan to expand our services to communities from different countries,” Paudel said.

The launch of Remit123 marks another initiative by the Nepali diaspora to contribute to Canada–Nepal economic ties while providing the community with a convenient and reliable remittance option.
